Sunday Showers Before A Dry Start to the Week — Columbus Community news

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - We are waking up to Sunday morning showers in a few spots, with morning lows in the 50s and 60s. The greatest rain coverage will last through midday, tapering to mainly isolated showers by the afternoon. Lingering cloud cover will keep daytime highs cooler in the mid to upper 60s, with only a few locations possibly touching 70 degrees. Expect cloudy skies tonight with just a stray shower possible and lows ranging from the mid 50s to near 60.Dry weather returns to kick off the workweek. Monday brings partly cloudy skies with highs climbing into the upper 70s. Clouds will increase on Tuesday, though conditions remain dry for Election Day. Our next best opportunity for widespread showers and a few storms arrives Wednesday. A few spotty showers could linger into Thursday before we dry out heading toward the weekend. Temperatures stay warm for most of the week with lows in the 60s and highs in the upper 70s, followed by a return of cooler air by the weekend.
