KISSIMMEE, Fla. (Gray News) - A mother who traveled to Las Vegas on a work trip was arrested after one of her children was injured and hospitalized, according to deputies.According to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, a child called 911 after a dumbbell fell on her 9-year-old brother’s head on Oct. 21.When deputies responded to the home, they found that four children, ages 14, 12, 11 and 9, were home unsupervised.Fire rescue took the 9-year-old child to the hospital. The responding deputy called the children’s mother, Irene Miller, 50. She told the deputy that she has been working in Las Vegas since Oct. 18, and would return on Oct. 23.Miller said she had a babysitter coming from Tampa every morning to get the children ready for school and to check on them after school, but she did not require her to stay at night. The 9-year-old returned home after being treated and discharged from the hospital.Authorities contacted the children’s father and agreed to take them to his home.Detectives
