Cooler Fall Weather Arrives this Weekend — Columbus Schools news

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Happy Friday! Temperatures start in the 50s and 60s this morning. While an isolated early shower is possible, most areas will stay completely dry. Expect more clouds than sun through the day, though there will be occasional sunny breaks. A light breeze will pick up as well, with gusts reaching up to 15 mph. Afternoon highs climb into the upper 70s before cooler fall air moves in just in time for the weekend. Conditions look ideal for high school football games this evening, with mostly clear skies and dry weather. Be sure to grab a warm jacket or blanket before heading out, because temperatures will drop quickly after sunset. Overnight lows fall into the mid 40s to near 50 degrees, setting up a crisp start to Saturday. Tomorrow will feature partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies alongside dry, breezy conditions and afternoon highs mainly in the upper 60s. Sunday follows a very similar pattern, starting in the upper 30s in our coolest spots and in the 40s elsewhere b
